Sue Lawler leads the Leadership Academy at Rush University Medical Center, where she oversees leadership development initiatives for administration and clinicians. Under her leadership as Vice President of Professional Development for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), ACHE delivered more than 200 education and networking programs annually, including the Congress on Healthcare Leadership, to 40,000 plus members. Previously she was the Director of Operations and Faculty Development for the Health Systems Management Program at Rush University Medical Center, and Associate Dean of the Chicago Campus of the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Lawler developed a healthcare MBA specialization, an organizational behavior MBA specialization, and established on-site MBA programs at multiple organizations. Lawler led business development efforts for Lake Forest Corporate Education.Lawler has a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois, an MBA from Northwestern University, and a PhD in Organizational Development from Benedictine University. She has taught multiple courses and coached students and clients on leadership and career transitions. Her research explored how coaches help their clients achieve sustained change.
